The benefits of one list outweigh the problems of any union. They want us to be on different lists for a reason.

It is up to the lawyers and an arbitrator to decide now. We will find out soon enough what needs to happen.

I'll be more then happy to provide anyone who requests our CBA, by looking at it you will recognize immediately, that XJT contract is far more superior then any other regional CBA out there. On the side lines, ASA has not bailed out XJT, by purchasing XJT for little over then $133 mil, they also walked away with our cash reserves of over $250 mil, which make this deal almost financed itself. In addition, should also look on our benefits 401K and B found, as well as $1.80 perdiem. 401K alone gives you almost 9% company 100% matching with defined contribution plan to 6 year employee. Your benefits are not even close to XJT. Furthermore; Trip pay protection, junior man pay, red flag, trades, and vacation protection and vacation award. So if anything, ASA pilots should fight to get XJT CBA in full...
First off don't be that guy, we don't want to start telling our new fellow employees they should be thankful that bought us. Second, XJT has about $95 million in cash and no where near $250 million in total assets so stop running your mouth and giving the rest of us a bad name. Yes our contract is slightly better overall, most of them will admit it but lets work on making in better for everyone. They can help us as much as we can help them in this process. Please ignore this guy's chest thumping......

I know it doesn't seam like a big difference but because this is related to the sale of a publicly traded company labor groups could file injunctions and lawsuits in federal courts in regards to a single seniority list.

This is quite a bit different than the "binding arbitration" we all think about.

First I have to admit our cash balance is showing $152,907 mil plus other assets and equipment that we own Totaling $ 345,621 mil. My point was that this merger financed itself.

Second, in your previous posts you were telling ASA guys that we should bring CCS over and suggested other brilliant ideas [edit:delete flaimbait]

I'm just suggesting, that we have an opportunity to make it good for everybody; however, just like the management indicated, they don't need our permission to do anything. Just me 2 cents.

It is critical to not only have XJT successorship language fully honored in the current proposal, but to KEEP it as part of the new integrated CBA. Otherwise we may end up with a 7,000 pilot airline that gets destroyed in a few short years when Jerry decides to add GoJet or Comair or whatever the next certificate is to the SKW whipsaw portfolio. Oops, I forgot, GoJet is already fully occupied in a whipsaw arrangement. They probably would not be available.

Not sure how you think that happens.Doesn't everybody at APC hate GoJet because they were specifically created as an alter ego?
Unless Jerry finds a way to abrogate 3 ALPA contracts...not gonna' happen.

IF this happens, the ideal would be; XJT contract, ASA pay, Skywest bases and Comair's...um...well, our senior guys really know how to strike!!

I can understand skepticism here but why be so negatively vocal?

The bottom line here is that most of us on this forum do not know the intent of SKYW. Do they plan on fighting contract language that they demanded be removed 2 years ago? Are they ignoring it so that it can (wisely) be used as leverage in CBA negotiations? Do they plan on merging ASA and XJT operationally while allowing a single seniority list between XJT, ASA, and SKYW?

Even if SKYW knows all three labor groups would merge the company would be giving away a good amount of leverage if they simply accepted that.

Also, there is a lot more to this merger than just seniority integration. Unlike the pilots of XJT, ASA, and SKYW - labor contracts are not the first consideration in this deal.

Now, please tell me how I am wrong.
You were wrong after your first sentence when you said I haven't talked to anyone and have not been around. I have sat across the table from SkyWest management. I have helped make the mistake of trying to call a "bluff" by SkyWest management when they weren't bluffing, resulting in a net loss of 12 aircraft during negotiations. I have worked on the SkyWest organizing drives and seen the pressure SkyWest management places on their non union employees. Have you? I know SkyWest and how they operate. Go to war with Atkin and you will lose. Period. You may win the battle, but you will lose the war. Good day.

There is absolutely nothing to lose in this "war" though and much to be gained. So it goes to arbitration or some court. They decide and if XJT loses that battle then they try to do it through the JCBA and see what happens.

And then watch your airline shrink into oblivion while your assets are slowly transferred to the other divisions. You will be given a chance to re-apply as a new hire. The best move with SkyWest is to play nice. Dissent is not tolerated.
