In general, I would support the law, however this would grant it my automatic veto!

Of the flights reserved for small carriers, four would have to offer service to two airports in West Texas, a provision introduced by Hutchison, the ranking minority member of the Commerce Committee.

I didn't think DCA could really handle cross country flights just due to runway size. Longest runway is under 7000 ft, might be weight restricted on those summer days. Think it got up to 102 the other day there.

But that is just IMO. I am a big dulles fan since I grew up by it.

Pleanty of B757's and A321s able to take off and land... Just look at LGA not much longer of a Runway and you see 757's all over the place.....

There are a few exceptions to the perimeter rule and I believe Alaska Airlines flies some flights to SEA on the 737-800 or -900. It can be done.

That was grandfathered in after 9/11 to allow them to have that service.... Which is great... But why only allow them? I think the knee jerk reaction was great at the time. But now it is time to allow airlines to make use of such... Also lets stop Nancy and others from taking their private jets and be like many others of our politicians and just get on a commercial aircraft and go to and from work.... I take pleanty of senators and congressmen in and out all week long.... She wouldnt have an excuse if we could go DCA-SFO !
