That's exactly what I was told would happen during my interview back in July. I don't think too many Mesaba guys took the offer anyway.

That's not the way it went down in my (Aug) class that is just finishing, but who knows with all the negotiating still going on. In my class, the Mesaba people got to pick bases first, then it went by age. I'm sure there will be a few mesaba people in each class, at least there has been recently.

CDOs (stand ups) do pay perdiem (figure 10-12 hours).

The rule is (as far as I can tell), if one's duty period crosses midnight, perdiem is paid.

My best uninformed guess is that they are too clogged up on training right now. My friend just got the same call of postponing it indefinately.

the training pipe is full right now. on the saab, we have new hires waiting for ioe, as well as a class of ugrades. We also have another class of upgrades finishing sim right now that will need IOE also.
