Got my call yesterday. Have an interview Oct 4-5. This is my first ever airline interview. I've been flying Part 135 for 4 years. Have been reading up on all teh threads, but still feel like I have no idea what to reasonably expect. Any pointers?

Read the gouges on Willflyforfood.com. I just had an interview with Colgan and they were dead on.

Doing nothing, Colgan will have the Mesaba contract. Management knew that when they bought Mesaba, so it is up to US to demand MORE!
It ain't gonna be easy, but I will NOT vote for anything less than the best of Pinnacle and Mesaba PLUS! Pinnacle CORP has the biggest turbo prop fleet (twice as many as Horizon). Not to ignore the jets, but props are THE MOST EFFICIENT at puddle jumping. There is NO other regional that has the prop capacity to replace us. For ONCE, we prop guys have the trump cards. We on the prop side can and must stand firm and force a GOOD contract... FOR ALL AIRCRAFT! If we don't, then I never want to hear any b!tching about work rules, pay, or scheduling: we hold our destiny.

I would have no problem flying props at mainline for reasonable wages. I currently fly them in the guard, they just point in the veritcal plane.
Please get an industry leading contract for the number of seats behind you. It really doesen't matter what the mode of propulsion is, you should be paid for what you transport.

I wish you all the success possible. Perhaps if your costs go up the the flying will return to mainline where it belongs. Then there may be career jobs available for you to move on to.

Don't get me wrong, I too believe a name, paint, and ticket should all match, but until that happens, we must fight the battles we can win.

Anybody know what the flight benefits are for Colgan? I heard before that Colgan pilots can't ride jumpseat? This can't be true... or is it? Also, do family members get to travel free on all the majors? Buddy passes? What's the skinny? Thanks guys!

Colgan is in CASS and your flight benefits (which airlines) depend on your base. Immediate family members do qualify for flight benefits and for buddy passes. You aren't eligible until after you complete training though.
