I don't think any one will ever really be desperate for any pilots! They might just be looking for young impressionable 121 virgins that are easy to train and don't talk back.

Any idea how many flights a day will go to ORD? Is CLE going to be pretty junior? I will be living in Chicago and wondering about the commute (if everything else falls in place...)

Dude,

The rumor is they are going to CLE.... Or IAH....Or California.... Or SEA.

We have no idea where they are going. Even if we knew, there would be no way of knowing how junior or senior CLE would be.

You like know exactly where they are going.... you just don't want to tell anyone... OMGZ.... I was like getting highlights put in my hair and can't believe you aren't giving the new guys the gouge on where planes are going, what backpacks to buy, and what gel to use in their hair cuz they need the good stuff to keep their spikes up... jeez JSH...

We have been hearing at Mesaba that the Q's will be going to EWR with increased flying out of DCA, BOS, and BVT...

I expect a good majority of the people coming over from Mesaba to bid for IAH once this merger gets figured out since alot of guys are from the midwest and won't want to commute to the east coast...

we have guys that have been sitting on reserve in Minneapolis for 2 and a 1/2 years that will gladly take IAH if it's available...

personally I'de like to see the Q end up in Denver, because I think it would be a great performer in that territory especially with Lynx getting the boot...

We are probably looking at least 3 years until the pilots are able to bid other aircraft (1 year to merge and 2 years of fences). Who knows where we will be as a company or where are bases will be. I would even venture to guess that IAH will no longer be a base. CAL wants news planes for the Saabs and there are no plans for replacements. Should be fun to see how it all plays out

Just curious....but how much does a Colgan pilot MAKE in a month based in the NY area?

How much are crash pads out there?

How much debt does the average Colgan new hire have?

Put those two together and think about it for a second.
