I know several furloughed Mesaba guys and it's a mixed bag. Some are willing to go to pinnacle only, some to colgan or pinnacle and some have found other jobs and will happily wait for the whole thing to get hashed out. I guess when they start sending out emails offering guys jobs we'll know where everyone stands.
I, for one, will voice my shock at how much thought might actually be going into this. Maybe my expectations were low but I'm shocked that they (management) says they're going to integrate the companies. I'm also shocked if it's true that they are only going to hire mesaba furloughee's how much foresight that actually entails... since any off the street hires after now would basically be coming into the middle of a seniority mess they might lose (but probably wouldn't)
If it goes down like that, I'm impressed. Which is shocking in itself.

That is what a lot of us junior guys at 9L are wondering. I'm happy we at least can potentially help Mesaba furloughs, but I don't want it to bite us, or anybody else in the rear come SLI time and see a new group furloughed.

Ok peeps...I'm more of a JetCareers kind of guy, but I'll help you out.
You need to call and show interest. If that means calling once a day until Chuck picks up the phone then....do it! That's how I got my interview date. Good luck to all and I'll let you know how the interview goes
