"IF" the company "DOES" go belly up. I am sure some airline will then definitely buy AMR. So not "ALL" hope will be lost, just "MOST" hope

SOOOOOOOOOO many rumors!!! I like to just follow what other airlines have done the last 9 years.

1. Add a extra legroom for sale in economy, and try and find a way to cutdown on flight attendants. CHECK

2. Start a low cost airlines inside your airlines....well those all failed so I dont think we will see that.

3. Cut pensions, would be a check but we have a Democrat in office and his appointed PBGC wont allow that.

4. Sell your regional airlines that you own.....maybe the deal to get AA flying will require buying EGL...

5. Outsource mx to some place that is so bad that its on the news at least once a year for how unsafe it is.....looks like a soon to be check

6. park smaller mainline planes in exchange for RJs....UAL 737 = RJ now!....we will see

7. give yourself huge bonuses....I am sure thats a huge check

8. Have no real ideas yourself, so you hire tens of millions in BK consultants, and then credit yourself, to support 7....CHECK!!!!

9. Merge with someone else......well we will see. It is now like last dance at prom, only fat chicks are left that you really dont want to become 'one' with! I think AA sees no use and only danger in a LCC merger.

10. Update your inflight entertainment with tons of WIFI and TVs.....seems like a CHECK to be!

11. Pull out of all markets that are not hub based......see ya later DCA BNA and DCA RDU, prol also RDU LHR and BOS to the international destinations.

Default Well, the LOA is out. Who's taking it?

The LOA is out and so is my resume. I would love to get on somewhere for a few years and come back to a stonger eagle or AA....

Wuss!! Nah, I don't blame you. Other carriers may make you resign from Eagle if you choose to go there!

Default Wow.

All the way on the bottom of the 3rd page.

Will the ltloa be used to help the latest 50 to be furloughed or is this for more of the furloughs to come?

How many people are they looking to take the ltloa?

When they announced the loa, they said they thought it was to late to help the 50

No idea, they didn't give a number just a window of time to submit for it. Window closes on the 15th. I think what kills it is the minimum 1 year away. I personally don't think there will be many takers.
