This is complete garbage. I never was a fan of the union and this is just proof in the pudding. 50 pilots out on the street, so much for negotiating. Stay positive to those affected.

If they don't resign they need to be recalled immediately. They do not have this pilot group's interest in mind. They want to be managers at AA. They also like to throw people who disagree with them under the bus.

Sorry to hear about the furloughs, guys. Expressjet is still hiring - mins seem to be around 1000/100. Just curious, for those who were hired at AE and had to sign that contract because they were under x amount of hours - does that contract get voided if furloughed?

That had been a question from a lot of people to the training manager while we were still in TX. Naturally there was no answer. While I am not one of those under contract, I really hope they aren't help to $5K...especially since they were taxed on the money.

(...I was in the class right before the first 20 furloughs...sigh)
