wait, the 20% will go all the way to the bottom pilot. wingtips will only find out the hard way. does anyone here believe that ae will not shrink. get real. if ae gets to replace the 135/140's for a 90 seater dont you think it will be 2 for1. eventually ove time 175 will be parked and replaced with 90 90 seaters. It is a simple fact. So why be for a 20percent pay cut when the final outcome is the same, half the size and half the pilots furloughed. this is what alpa is not saying.
Not necessarily. First off, it's not something that's going to happen overnight and from what I understand all the EMJs are grouped together on the lease. So it's not a matter of parking the -135s and -140s. The entire EMJ fleet would have to be parked and AA can't afford to lose 80% of it's feed.
With the FT/DT and ATP rules about to kick in Eagle would be stupid to furlough. Obviously we are overstaffed right now. Just look at the lines. Some MIA ATR lines worth 46hrs and 21 days off. DFW EMJ lines at 60hrs, 20 days off. Obviously doesn't make much business sense to be doing this, especially in bankruptcy. So if they didn't really need all of us, you'd think they would have furloughed by now or at least offered LOAs by now. The company already knows what they're going to do with us. You guys are so pessimistic. At least wait for the fleet plan to come out or some legitimate facts before you preach that the sky is falling. If it's going to be "so bad and we're going to furlough half the list", do us a favor and go to another $hitty regional, and let everyone move up a number.

IMO, the pilot group is great. I think people can make poor comments when on shakey ground.

I've been waiting for IOE since Dec. 13. I got a call last night at 5:45pm eastern time from a lady in the training department:
"We are sending you to Dallas tomorrow on at 5:15pm flight to sit in case something opens up for IOE."
I called her this morning and said "so, I don't have a schedule yet?"
She says: "No, we are bringing several of you to Dallas to sit for 6 days in case somebody calls in sick, etc."
I asked her: "Okay, well I need to know what time I'm expected to be on call for those days. This way I can get into a sleeping pattern."
She says: "Just be ready, we'll give you a 2 hour notice"
I told her: "That's unacceptable and it's illegal for me to be on reserve 24 hours so we need to find a better solution"
She tells me: "Well that's the way we have to do it."
I spoke with the union and got it all squared away. He talked with them and we all got a phone call telling us to stay home for the weekend.
Do they think they can step all over us because we are new? Sorry Eagle, but I am a human being too, not a pile of crap like you think I am.

These folks in the training dept really have NO clue what they are doing! It's one mistake after another when dealing with them.
I've not been with eagle very long, but in my short time here i have had no major issues with C/S!

First off don't feed the trolls, it's just not worth it.
As for the contract, the training "point" system does not apply to newbies either.
The LOA is being worked on as we speak, company does not want to offer it as is, they want to make some mods.
As for our future, a lot depends on what happens with AA.
They are gonna stay fat with pilots until they know our fleet plan and them there may or may not be furloughs, will just depend on the fleet and the schedule of replacements, etc.
I think it's a given the ATR's are all going away, but the timeframe is unknown. We still have scope issues to work out before that can be handed off to another carrier to assume

Keep in mind this is the training dept you are dealing with NOT crew scheduling!

With that said, however, this situation was handled properly by the student awaiting IOE.

What's wrong with being "stuck" as an FO? I know I'm twice as happy as you are, with more days off, and more disposable income since you insinuate money equates "status". Are you going to brag again that you make 100K as an RJ CA, ooooooo.

Its been getting better as your generation dies off. There's been more selflessness in the current generation than most eagle lifers, including those that sucked this place dry only to flow to a company that would not hire them.

That will end soon, worst off we just go somewhere else with a quick upgrade. We have nothing to lose.

too much logic for a web forum!!! You might cause the website to shutdown if you keep that up!
