My app has been on airlineapps for a good number of months now, but I only recently met the mins and updated my medical. Tt 1010, multi 130, no internal rec, no checkride busts.

My question, is there any reason to be excited or is this just a self-generated computer message from AE?

Best of luck to you all!
Having your app submitted for several months, and continuing to update your flight times is a good way of showing you are serious about working at Eagle even if you didnt meet the mins initially when the app was submitted. It does sound promising that you received an email about the review of your app, so good luck getting an interview!

Is a real thing...be sure to have all you information accurate.

IF by any case you haven't heard about them in 7 days, write them an email asking your status. (in whatever email they wrote you there)

If everything looks good they'll send another email telling you to call recruitment to make an appointment for interview.

So my suggestion is... START STUDYING!!!!!!!!! Good luck.

Wow you guys make me hopeful!

To me it sounded like little more than an automated message because I have just met their mins, but hey I'll take your side gladly!

My main worry is that I don't have much work experience, a CFI job for one year and stop counting. I wonder how that's going to look with background checks and stuff.

Oh well, we shall hope and see.

Thanks guys.

What are the chances of a new hire being able to hold a DFW base right now?

you folks can do as you please, BUT, I would not come here since what happens to Eagle is still uncertain and its future unknown. Not even management truly knows and ALPA is as always in the dark.

But these are the same people who were brought in last time for the sale of eagle but nothing happened. You know the economy was not right, more like AA wants to maintain control of AE even after the sale, but for now, there is no one that stupid out there.

So with this uncertanty at AE, why would you come here just to start all over from the bottom elsewhere.

my 2 cents.

Good chance in my opinion. Lots of movement on the EMJ from existing FOs bidding upgrades, and consistent movement of DFW ATR FOs bidding to the jet. If you aren't awarded DFW EMJ or ATR initially on Day 1 as a newhire then I am fairly confident you could be awarded a transfer within 2-3 months after finishing training.

Most new folk I've flown with have been CFI'ing for a year or so. The others were furloughed from other carriers.

That's ok.. I'm CFI too, one year of banner towing, just with a two years of 135 VFR experience, no turbine time. I was the only one in my day of interview with a little more than CFIing. So not big deal...

If you meet the mins, turn your stuff in. We need tons of guys really soon. My guess is that they won't be able to find enough qualified applicants in the near future.
