Business casual/nice jeans/with some limits. You will be told before you pack for ground school, and we were briefed ("read to") when we started. Wish you success!

The uniforms are issued during ground school. The cost is deducted from your paycheck in installments although it is pretty inexpensive. I think the cost is paid back in six months. The company issued uniforms aren't always the best quality and the fit can be pretty poor. At least for me it was. The shirts fit me like parachutes as does the jacket.
The company may use several vendors to provide uniforms so the quality and sizing can vary depending on what company they use and when. It may be luck if you get some good quality and fitting uniforms.
You might try on the company uniforms to see how they fit. If you don't like them, only get one or two of what you need initially. The nice thing about the company uniforms is you can order them through Jetnet, they're usually very inexpensive compared to other sources, and the cost can come directly from your paycheck.
Crew Outfitters has a shop at the academy and also DFW. They have better quality uniform shirts IMO. The sizing is also much better and you can try on the shirts to see how they fit. The Crew Outfitter shirts are also less expensive at the academy as compared to Crew Outfitters online. You can save $10.00 on the Oxford shirts buying them at the academy as opposed to buying them online. Of course, they have to have your size in stock.....
Good luck on the interview.

Really any 141 or 142 school is typically going to be better than a 61 school. ATP is one exception of course, they are very well organized. With part 61 you never really know what you are getting, could be great but many times kind of shady.

It is really hard to be patient... I would love to start studying something but I have no material.... does anybody knows a good website or thread on this forum that talks about the training at eagle? I might do the erj if I have the opportunity.

I interviewed on the 21st and I was given a conditional offer by the captain's board on Sept 30th (they called me to notify me). They sent me an email with a document to sign and now Im waiting for a date to do the medical.

After all, you don't know what aircraft you might be getting into, and even if you did it is easy to study the wrong thing, or worse yet commit a fact or figure about the aircraft that differs from our Op Spec. Then you'll have primacy coming back to bite you in the ass during systems training.
If you commit yourself to the program there will be more then enough time to assimilate that data that is presented to you at the pace it is presented. You don't have to worry about getting a head start.
If you really want to get a jump on things, the opportunity will present itself after the CBT training. Knock that out quickly and spend time working on your limitations and flows.
Good Luck

I've read that Eagle wants another 700 pilots next year. My question is how and where will they find these pilots? They've already lowered their minimums twice and have gotten 500 (ish) pilots this year out of 700 they've stated needing. Does anyone foresee Eagle lowering the minimums even further to attract those "fresh out of school" types?
I'm currently about 400/110 without a flying job. I'm one of the Veterans affected by the cuts to GI Bill and opportunity to get my CFI/CFII is no more because of it (at ERAU). I'm wondering if I should just suck it up and go to ATP and knock out the CFI's, which also would be a huge strain financially. Or just slowly keep building time. I have a couple of friends who own airplanes and I'm responsible for the fuel so slowly building time that way is a bit cheaper than shelling out $6,000 for ATP's CFI fast track program.
Thoughts, advice? Thanks!

If this is the case, why don't you transfer to a community college that offers the CFI/I/MEI under it's program? You should then get FULL reimbursement for that.
