Ya, IDK, it works about to about the same price as using a BP8A on UAL for F class. I eat and drink so that cost them some money both ways.

On a different note, can someone confirm rumors about pushing the 10/11/11 date?

I have heard rumors, over and over, that say the rumor your asking about is for sure FALSE.

How do you know it is false? They may consider it just to attract more candidates...

I do not understand how so many people are so obsessed with the 10-11 date. It's going to be 5 years at a minimum probably. How do you know you'll be alive then? How do you know you'll still want to fly? How do you know AA will even exist?

Get a job based on career progression, opportunity to learn, pay, QOL, etc. The tunnel vision and lack of consideration for many more important factors by some people is frustrating to say the least. AA will hire more outsiders anyways. Yes, you do have a number, but for every 1 person who flows, 2 or 3 will be hired from the street......years from now.

I agree with everything you say except the last phrase. I believe AA will be hiring off the street next year.

Oh now you agree they will be hiring next year! If I follow your logic above, yes, maybe if they still exist! And you may have a shot if you're still alive!
Anyways, no obsession on my part on that date, just trying to get as much info on AE as I am totally new to this. And yes, this date seems important as it has impacts on future upgrades etc...assuming and you're right, the sun still rises tomorrow!!

It don't matter, AA shouldn't charge its employee a dime. Especially to go to work!

It is a fixed date in the letter of agreement. To be changed they have to go into more negotiation. The union haven't said anything about negotiating future new hires AA movement. They already did in July when the LOA was written.

They are negotiating a better ASA before trying to extend the OCT 11 date. MAYBE in a future (couple of years from now) they'll add more people, like now after the 824 agreement.

I say is going to take at least 10 years before the last guy of OCT 11 class go to AA.
