Thats the million dollar question. However, if this sticks, according to the agreement you have a job. No interview, no medical. when your number comes up you in. just might be a while to get you place in line. AA is not known for mass growth and hiring. Some of the AA furloughees being recalled right now are from 10 years ago i believe

I dunno... Eagle can't fill classes with 500/50, how would adding an ATP help? Even with all these goodies, most people wouldnt want to work at a company for 8 years (assumed time to get high enough to transfer to AA) THEN get the big time. Those people probably would be better served waiting till AA hires then try interviewing for those 65% remaining slots.

I think the comment was in regard to other regional pilots jumping ship to get on at eagle to guarantee their spot with a major. Its still all really fuzzy right now and I agree its probably to get more 70 seats and future 90 seaters... Oh well, just ride the waves right??

If my next Monday you don't hear from them call them. But you should hear something by early next week! They will fly in more than likely Sunday morning.

Miami ATR FO
Maybe I'm looking at this wrong but it looks like at least 5 FO's in Miami who bid and received lines for August will be going to training on the 1st.
What is the open time gonna look like next month?

I think so. The flow thru for anyone hired in 2011 will take about 10-15 years anyway so that is not a major factor IMO. The benefit is that you will have all the senior pilots moving up which will help you move up the seniority list fairly rapidly.

As far as flowing to American I would discourage people from making that their only avenue to American or any major. All too often it doesn't pan out for the junior guys.
