Some of the AA furloughees being recalled right now are from 10 years ago i believe
Yes but last number I heard was only a 10% acceptance rate of recalls. If I understand it correctly they get 2 opportunities for recall and then they lose their spot. I find it hard to believe that the hiring going on right now is a result of that. We are pretty short across the board without losing pilots to AA. This just potentially aggravates the situation (in a good way). It sounds good on the surface, but some of the other things are kind of vague like if furloughed they will work to get preferential hiring at the airline doing the flying in event of a divesture. My question is, if this happens do you retain your hiring rights at AA. My guess would be no....

Those people probably would be better served waiting till AA hires then try interviewing for those 65% remaining slots.
First the comment was in jest. Second, what would a current non-121 ATP do right now? With no 121 experience, military background, or PIC turbine what major would look at you anyways?

I think the comment was in regard to other regional pilots jumping ship to get on at eagle to guarantee their spot with a major. Its still all really fuzzy right now and I agree its probably to get more 70 seats and future 90 seaters... Oh well, just ride the waves right??

I'm scheduled for the Aug 1st class. Do any of you guys know when they fly you out to Dallas and when do you receive all the info about class? Thanks.

If my next Monday you don't hear from them call them. But you should hear something by early next week! They will fly in more than likely Sunday morning.

Default Days off on reserve

Quick question,

If I want to switch days off while reserve what's the RF command?

When does scheduling allow you to do this?

Default Miami ATR FO

Maybe I'm looking at this wrong but it looks like at least 5 FO's in Miami who bid and received lines for August will be going to training on the 1st.

What is the open time gonna look like next month?

Do you think Eagle is still a viable place to go to after October? They are my first choice, but should I be looking elsewhere?

I think so. The flow thru for anyone hired in 2011 will take about 10-15 years anyway so that is not a major factor IMO. The benefit is that you will have all the senior pilots moving up which will help you move up the seniority list fairly rapidly.

Way too much is up in the air to give an intelligent response. Just try to pick a place where you'll get a descent QOL.

As far as flowing to American I would discourage people from making that their only avenue to American or any major. All too often it doesn't pan out for the junior guys.
