Lack of people getting/passing interviews would be my guess.... They are still being pretty strict....

Rightly so. They want to be fairly certain that the applicant will pass the training program.

Yes and out of 43ish people in my indoc class basically all but 3 passed, and 2 I think failed for something outside flying skill. So I have to say they did a wonderful job. I wish the potential hiring pool out right now had more 1000/100+ pilots, but it does not, nor will it again for a long time. The next 5 years will be extremely interesting to watch in this industry.

Interviewed a week or so ago - 11 people started, 6 people ended with the "pre-offer." However, it seems they are not being as strict about reapplying. One person didnt list a 141 checkride failure but instead of being told to apply again in 90 days, was told to correct it and come back later that week. I am excited for my Aug 1st class date!

When did you interview? I had a friend interview on the 6th with about the same stats 11 started 6 ended. Anyways he hasn't heard back from the capt review board. Was curious when you interviewed and how quick you heard back with a class date?

Whole-heartedly agree. And pilots with those hours are out there too, but maybe they're just waiting for the phone to ring or for the right offer. It will be very interesting to see how this all plays out. Depending on how well the next 5 yrs go, the following decade can be a pretty exciting period for aviation.
