What type of FD do they use V Display or Command Bars?

Well not everyone is so "talented" like you that don't even need to use the trim.

Is just a normal way to prepare, be ready and proficient. There have been a lot of guys that don't pass the interview just because the sim. Why? Because they never flew flight director or glass cockpit.

The sim wasn't bad. I've never flown with an FD and it was pretty simple. The sim guy is great at briefing you. Just use him for everything! They want to see basic instrument proficiency and CRM. I spent an hour on a G1000 sim but it really wasn't necessary, the guy sets all the radios and courses for you, just ask. He'll even turn you with the heading bug when in FD mode. The sim flew pretty stable, the trim worked well but you don't need to touch it too much.

Love how quick some people on here jump to conclusions. My reason for saying you don't need to use the trim is because a lot of people complain about how sensitive it is and it has screwed people up.

In no way was i trying to brag about not using pitch trim thats just dumb.

I interviewed last week. The flyforfood gouge is spot on. The tech interview was some questions on jepp enroute chart (pointed out mea, maa, diff between blue/green, cop, comp reporting point, etc) , 3-2-1 rule of thumb for planning descent, when is alt reqd, what is fuel req't for ifr, decode a metar, given dfw airport diagram (what is displaced threshold, runway remaining, etc) and asked if we can t/o and if so was a t/o alternate needed based on that weather (was good rvr but 100 ovc) so no alternate reqd, how long to report change of addy, how long temp cert good for.
HR interview was straight forward. Talked about anything on your app that need addtl info (ie checkride failures, etc), why eagle, why should we hire you, describe yourself in one word, what makes a prof pilot, what trait would you change about yourself, etc.
There was alot of people interviewing that day so the interviews were kept brief. I do think personality plays a lot into getting hired too, not just knowledge. Try to get along with everyone. Everyone you meet during the interview process is an Eagle pilot (Cap or FO).

Do they tell you at the interview if you get the job or not? Also how long between the interview and first day of training?

Yes you get a pre-offer at the end. After the last interview you still go back to the holding room and wait. They come get you and take your fingerprints and starting faxing out your employment verification forms. You are not given a class date until you clear your background check, review board, etc. Hopefully i'll here back the end of this week about the review board decision. Then its a medical (hearing and drug screen) and they assign you a class.

From 2 week to 2 months, depend in your paperwork and how desperate they are to fill classes.

Try to go to your previous employers and check if they sent the paperwork. FAA background should be out in a week.
