You need to think about the big picture. Remember that instructing carries a lot of liability that follows you around, years after you quit, even. Do you want to fly 121 or instruct for a living? That said, plenty of folks do both...I would keep it real quiet if I were you.

Interview Question
I just scheduled my interview for a week from today, and I'm slowly realizing that it may not be enough time to get together all of the required paperwork. The only one I'm particularly worried about is a certified letter of no record from a state that I lived in the last 5 years but had no drivers license. DMV says it will take at least 10 days to process. Did anyone experience a similar situation? I know that any potential tentative offer would most likely be delayed until I can get them the paperwork after my interview, but are they okay with this or will it hurt my chances? Would I be better off looking to extend my interview a couple of weeks or coming in missing something (with explanation as to why and confirmation that it's on the way) just to get the interview over and expedite a potential class date?

Just make sure you do call them though.

Hey, anyone who's been through it...regarding this English Proficiency endorsement on your commercial or ATP. Anybody have any info on that? I mean, I checked the box on the 87-10 saying I read, write, and understand English, but I can't find a specific endorsement anywhere.

Enter your info and then do a search on yourself. When you look at your commercial/atp certificate under the "Limits" you should see "English Proficient."
If you DO see the english proficient then you can go here:
English Proficiency endorsement – what it means to you
and just order a replacement.
