Either you missed my point entirely or you never made it past the 1st sentence.

And am I happy RAH placed this order? Absolutely! I hope this puts RAH in a position to directly compete with your company (whoever it may be) and take as much business as possible away from your company. Why? Because that's the way it goes. You can't live in a free-market economy and complain that the other guy is too competitive. And while everyone sits around and complains about how "unfair" it is that RAH does what it does, I'm going to sit around and hope they continue to be good at it. For those of you that wistfully dream of the days when things were better; I suggest you wake up quickly cuz you're going to dream your way into unemployment.

No, I don't care about your pension, your lost wages, your hardships. Just as I would not expect you to care about mine. I don't come on here and whine, cry, and sulk when a company gets awarded flying over mine, when a company does better financially then mine, or when something good happens to another company and not mine. Yet, you all do this to RAH. What are you expecting the company to do? Hand you guys a few contracts and say "Hey, we're sorry...you guys go ahead and take this one. We're making enough money as it is and wouldn't want to hurt your feelings or make you think it's unfair!" Am I supposed to apologize because my company (for the time being - and it's sketchy) is trying to be somewhat successful? Cuz I'm not.

I don't work here with the wool pulled over my eyes thinking I'm going to make $150K in the right seat. I know almost exactly what I'm getting. A confrontational and usually back-handed management team that would just as soon hit me with their car as sign my paycheck. But so long as they're a SUCCESSFUL confrontational and back-handed management team, I will hang. Call me a scab, selfish, or any other derogatory word you want. But after you do it, don't ask for my help in raising the bar at your company. Raise your own bar and stop blaming me for your shortfalls. I don't blame you for mine.
I don't have much opinion of my own on this issue, but I must agree with sharky on his(or hers) assessment about the communists on this forum. People are always belly aching about the natural flow of the free market. This is the way it works, deal with it or move to Cuba! btw, I'm in the bottom 300 at brown and have accepted what they're doing. Lots of whiney children on this forum....which is why you don't hear much from me anymore.

This is where I had to stop. NO, it's not just you that has to live with that pay rate. Every other MEC trying to negotiate a pay rate for same/similar size airframes has to live with it also.

I don't blame my pay rate on Mesa or anyone that gets paid less than I do. If I don't make enough money, it's cuz I failed, not any of you. And likewise, if you don't make enough money, it's cuz you failed, not me.

Disgruntled RAH guy, I guess ...... probably a RAH FO himself..... look at some of his past posts.

MODERATOR.... this thread should have been left in the major section... RAH has had total sales of $1 billion for more that 4 years now.

Hi!

As someone else pointed out, TSA ordered MRJs, NOT Bombardier Cs. The MRJs are smaller. TSA has NO BRANDED FLYING (unlike Republic)...

There is a problem when we say "Don't call it an RJ...". That is how we got into this mess. We excluded certain planes because they were too small, weren't jets, etc., etc. If we had insisted that our pilots (whoever "our" was) fly all of our passengers, we would have had 19 seaters at UAL, and we would not have any regional airlines.

It seems that Code Shares are now being used to do the same thing as Regional Feed has been doing. The Airline Managers have been able to weasel around scope in this fashion. There are, of course, technical differences, but it essentially letting your passengers fly on other carriers, some of whom have smaller planes and/or smaller payrates, which threatens your jobs.

NWA was planning on buying the "C". I hope DAL does, to replace it's DC-9s and/or Airbuses or 737s. It is a very nice plane, with FANTASTIC engines (of course, we will see how it REALLY performs when it is placed in service). Airbus and Boeing are both looking at these P&W GTFs to re-engine their smaller planes.

If you study the MWA/AirTran/TPG/NWA threads, I believe that you will come to the conclusion that, basically, DAL bought MWA, and cooperated with Republic in its dismantling. I think that DAL has no problem with Republic "competing" against it and flying feed/code-share for them at the same time.

I hope the MWA/F9/Lynx guys get back in the cockpit ASAP!

Then I expect you will move to mainline RATES, WORKRULES, and RETIREMENT too???? Or will you fly these aircraft for $37/hr and put the Frontier rates on the street just like the Midwest pilots?!?!
