Colgan Hiring....one last time
#102
We didn't schedule anything. Chuck sent me an e-mail that asked me to call, but that was sent on the Saturday we took mom to the hospital. So, no I didn't have an interview scheduled. I was unable to call until Tuesday.... That is when Chuck told me the e-mail was in reference to scheduling interviews. The e-mail I recieved was so short that I wasn't sure if it was in fact for an interview or not. It just said please call and listed a number.

No No No I was saying since your going to be in the first class can't you bid for the Q if you want it in like 3 or 4 months or is there a seat lock?

It is my understanding that you will not be able to bid the Q until your one year seat lock is up. I don't know if they will allow you to delay training so as to allow you to be on the Q. My thinking is that they will offer you the Saab in a take it or we will withdraw the job offer sort of deal. Personally, I would bid the Saab... but then again I like the Saab.

I'm with ya man, I got that same short email with the #, called and he asked if i had my ATP written done. Told him I'll have it in a couple days. He told me to call him when I get it, so I did, and he just said, "ok, I'll put you in. take care!" haha!! what's that mean? I'm so confused.. but who knows... just gotta be patient I guess! I'm trying so hard not to bug the @#$! out of him for an interview! I just can't keep instructing anymore. I've never been so determined to get a paycut! haha!!! the haters can say what they want, my QOL will go up if i go to colgan... KEYWORD: "MY" not yours...

I am pretty much wanting to find out if my chances of getting called for the next round of interviews will still exist? I told Chuck that mom was in the hospital all that past week, but I also didn't want to sound like a "storyteller" so I just kept it to "She was in ICU all last week", and didn't offer the long version.... Like I say, I figured they would think I was making excuses if I told them the long version. I hated to miss that opportunity to interview, but at the same time I would never have been able to forgive myself if my mom didn't make it.

If Colgan is what you want, DO NOT be patient. Keep calling until you get to talk to somebody.
And to the poster who had a family emergency: keep in touch. Colgan still advertises it has "family values", so if you stood by a loved one in a time of need, let them know. If you REALLY want it, forward some proof that your Mom was sick. It may help.

from my understanding that assumption is true. they indicated that there used to be a seat lock, but that there is not one currently. that was one of their selling points - saying that we could bid the Q in like 6 months once we had enough seniority. I'll probably stay on the saab though
