Yes, I talked to Chuck Colgan on Tuesday. He searched for my application, and then told me what the e-mail was for. After that he said they would consider me for the next round of hiring, along with the others. So I wasn't sure how to take that either. He left me with the impression that when they start doing interviews again that they would contact me... That is why I was asking, because if they are still setting up interviews for upcoming dates then I know where I stand. I hope they let me have an opportunity, because I was all set to go... but I didn't know how mom was going to do, and she really didn't stabilize until Sunday, so I wouldn't have been able to make the weekend interview this last weekend.

There is a seat lock (I think 6 months) on the base and seat you get awarded when hired. After that, if you want to move over to the Q, you will get it before any additional new hire if you change your standing system bid. You can thank the committee members of our union for that because in the past, awards were more a matter of luck and who you knew!

I like working in the TX CO operation... less confusion and better structured than IAD in my opinion.

I believe its a year seat lock when you have to go through initial training... could be wrong as history has shown.

I keep hearing that Colgan is going to start a base in DEN. Is there any real truth to that? I might have missed the answer on a previous thread but could not find anything with a search. Thanks

It all depends on...

1) Pinnacle Corp decides to exercise the options for the next 15 Q's which do not have any home as of now.

2) United decides they want those Q's

3) United wants them in DEN and not LAX.

Here is a juicy rumor...United wants them for DEN but only if a contract is in place for the pilots.

I've heard the same thing, who knows if there is truth behind it.

There are so many rumors floating around these days I really didn't know what to believe about that one. Thanks for the answer.
