No, its not a legitimate question, because I am very aware at how users on here, use that to discredit people, ALL THE TIME. "You work for Skywest, you have no right to talk about how bad the working conditions at Colgan are... you are no different" <---- prime example (I always laugh at the "you are no different" part)

I will tell you this though. I have never and don't plan on working for Colgan, Mesa, and GoJets.

I work at a regional that is decently compensated VS. our peers. Yes I think I am under-compensated, but there is nothing I can do until those compensated less then us raise the bar.

I've just put winglets on my ignore list. He's all over just about every active thread in the regional forums, and a few in the major.

He preaches mindless gibberish (he didn't know anything about SKW, ASA and SKW, Inc), and won't answer questions when asked. It's easy to throw rocks and yell from the sidelines, but it doesn't bring anything to the discussion.

My guess: 1)CFI with no industry experience, or 2) Furloughee from PSA, Piedmont, or Comair.

Either way, to hell with him.

Edit: Looked at his post history, claims to be receiving unemployment. My #2 guess is correct.

I obliviously know more about Skywest than you. I know Skywest pilots are whipsawed against each other. One flies Skywest paint and the other ASA paint.

As for bringing something to the discussion, it obviously is more than you bring. At least I'm trying to bring a change to the insanely low pay at the regionals.

More from that vs. if I went to Colgan. In fact I would still collect a couple extra hundred if I went there, which I won't.

Well said!

Honestly, what is the point of his comments? He's not changing anyones mind. In fact, most of us probably agree with him. Better pay, one list etc. Of course we want that. But HOW to achieve it? No ideas, no action, no tact. That's the part that frustrates people.

I'm guessing by now, winglets has responded to my post. Let me guess:

1) I'm the stupid one.
2) I bring nothing to the discussion, simply because I pointed out that he didn't.

Someone let me know how close I was. After that, I'll let it die. The guy is too predictable for me to be wrong.

Where did I ever call you stupid. If you assume that, that is your problem.

ASA pilots are employed by Skywest. To me and many others, they are Skywest pilots. I could care less that it says ASA on the side of their planes. If you honestly let that paint job make you think those pilots work for two different companies, then management did their job.

Where is it? I would say PM me, but I didn't realize I couldn't receive them, and I can't find where to change it.

Well for now they ARE separate companies. How do you think combining would be better. We all get it now you think we should be one. We should all be Delta or whatever. But my question STILL is how? How do we all unite? How do we all help eachother? You are sitting back condemning us, but offer no path but DO IT! Again, do you have any actual ideas? It's easy to argue over nothing, but I've got better things to do than that. If you want a discussion on how to improve things, let's do it.

They aren't separate companies. They are the same company on two different pilot groups.

When did I ever condemn you? You some how got I was condemning you from saying the Skywest shouldn't hire pilots when ASA pilots are on the street?

As for how you unite. It's simple... you join the lists. As for how that needs to take place, the process is fairly simple. You sit down and start negotiating. Do you really think its that complicated? Delta just did it and Republic is currently doing it. Each side presents what they want and you start to compromise. If you can't reach an agreement the arbitrator will.

The end result will be far better than anything you have right now.
