rumor had it that we aren't able to run new hire classes while we are transitioning to AQP because we no longer have a valid new hire syllabus. Once we complete the certification they'll get the initial training put together and approved. Just something I heard passing through Sim last week, FWIW

It’s got a lot of pilots ****ed off, myself included, but that’s another debate.
Especially the ones who are no longer line holders <---------

??? That doesn't make sense...they should still be able to use the old program.

Plenty of other airlines are on AQP, I don't recall hearing that anyone had to suspend hiring for a year to get there.

they haven't even started the transition to AQP for the EMB yet. That's in Jan I believe. They don't want to hire because we will be overstaffed again in the fall.

No, AQP won't be fully active until a new-hire class is run.

They "may" close SLC-EMB but the Bro will live on up and down the Westcoast for a very long time. My guess is the last one will come off property in about 4-5 years.

I hope not. All us Bro drivers would then not qualify as "Delta dedicated" eligible anymore, and would lose our Delta travel benefits accordingly, grrrr.

How is the health insurance at SkyWest? Rumor has it it's going to an HSA plan which is worthless.
