Preferred regionals is that like an Oxymoron or something

Sounds like something someone that went to a non-preferred regional would say.

So you're saying:

Horizon = Colgan

Funniest thing I've read so far.

To me, you just showed me you probably know nothing on the true disparited of costs between places such as Eagle and Colgan.

Here is the diagram to make it easy for everyone to understand why Colgan is awarded flying over others. Most of the differences are due to the pilot's compensation packages. Until Colgan and others raise their compensation a lot more, everyone else is stuck or will have to take paycuts from an already low compensation already... or lose their job.

I hope you see this problem now.

In the world of regional airlines, cheaper flies

Well, you can clearly see from the graph who the bottom feeders are... Colgan, Mesa, GoJets and Pinnacle. But we knew that!

What difference does it make guys, we all make too little and we all deserve better.

The amount of energy we exhaust by calling each other bottom feeders should be re-directed and used in a more constructive way. Colgan may not be the best airline, but the pilots finally took a stand and voted in ALPA. They are working to improve conditons which is a lot more that can be said for other airlines...........

What Joey said

Winglets to answer your question and I think I'm going to take juices advice... I call a spade a spade and a regional a regional... I laugh because you say preferred as if its not still a REGIONAL!

Like Joey said lets use this energy towards something constructive

No one is bashing anyone at Colgan, Joey. We are telling people not to got there. You of all people should know that gives the Colgan pilots the best opportunity to get a good contract.

Why do people always think when you say how bad a place is, they assume you a bashing the pilots? This isn't Gojets we're talking about here.

We should be focusing our efforts on telling new applicants which regionals to not go to and which ones to wait for. If we do that, with a loud enough voice, Colgan won't be able to staff their operation and they will have to do something about that. Raising the pay would result from this... very quickly.

Not all regionals are created equal. Horizon is leaps and bounds beyond Colgan. Telling new applicants to stay away from Colgan is VERY constructive... and very helpful to the current Colgan pilots.

I wouldn't listen to Juice's advice.
