Not check airman, did bid reserve two months in 2009

Everything sounds great until "small Texas airline".... I call BS on that

Now that is worth a lot! at least for me

Talk about the US being behind on that front.............

What's up with the old, uggly and tired FA group at most of the Regionals, not to mention the "will never retire" "please call for a wheelchair for me" FA group at the US mainland Airlines.

It used to be every Airline pilot right to work and party with FA hotties.........
We have lost so much more than just the salary

& CRJ FO - 2 months
(2 downgrades in 2009)
(Numbers look like possible furlough in April '10)

4th year pay.
Never able to hold a line.
Average 45 flight hours per month.

Agreed

I'm young, furloughed and bored. In my opinion flying around Africa experiencing new cultures and climates would be a great eye opener and a lot of fun for a little while. Great if you're single (and you get to save a little cash while you're there), much more difficult with a family.

BTW, i'm not originally from the US, I moved here for the same reasons, new experiences! IMO you can't beat travel to broaden one's horizons (that doesn't include a week long vacation).
