Just to fall in line with the point I made before about the profession/career deteriorating, think of what that number would have been without a concession rammed down your throat. OR, think about the QOL boost if credit was exchanged for more time off, etc.

Turbo-prop captain (hired as captain), 1st year: USD $102,000 (federal but not state tax free) plus $18,000 housing stipend. 4 round-trip tickets home per year. 4 star, sometimes star 5 hotels and hotel meals paid for. A driver/car to and from the airport. Not in the USA and not a DOD contract.
Not that I am saying the above job is perfect I'm just trying to stir up something here because its just so bad in the US, the US is so far off the rails these days its not even funny anymore.
