The rumor is coming from a senior sim instructor based in LAX who commutes to PHX, if that isn't enough info PM me and I'll tell you more. I completely agree however with the improbability of that rumor. Airtran has 138 A/C and I don't think there is anywhere near enough demand for another 130 planes flying around out there.

If you're talking about KA, I just talked to him a few days ago and he didn't mention anything about 130 new A/C...

130 AC is'nt going to happen.. All at risk!! don't think so... My guess is they will run small classes of 16 or less a month.. The days of 70 a month are over....

It probably doesn't hurt to add your resume to the pile. But there are so many people with a higher priority for getting a class than people who are currently on the street I certainly wouldn't hurt myself to get something in quickly.
