I have recently learned that the way they will do this is to give the pilots who go an 18 month COMA (unpaid leave of absence) from ASA. They will then be hired by the Vietnamese airline and be their employees for the duration. Also Atkin has a 40% stake in the Vietnamese comany and is acting as a "consultant" kind of how Richard Branson is a consultant for Virgin America. The pilots will go through an interview process here for the positions. No word yet if they will come from ASA, SkyWest, or both.

I have heard rumors another 2-1 is in the works, but no details.
So here is a wild idea, 2-1 swap with some or all of the CR2 heading to Vietnam in addition to the other 6.

I am guessing that this option will not be extended to furloughed pilots? I am guessing they figure Inc will be able to scrape together enough pilots to do this without off the street hiring?

I would not have believed the facebook stuff if I didn't see it with my own eyes. Facebook has evidently now made it impossible to cheat AND make business deals private.

If the pay is anything close to what a US regional makes, it'll be disgusting. I guess that's how they'll undercut anybody else.... US pay scales for the world.

So, if I don't go to Nam, does that make a draft dodger? Unwilling to serve my company on foreign soil?

Not going to be 200', our six or any other swaps. It's going to be 900's they will get from other airlines maybe Horizon.

Horizon only flies 700's.

Your idea isn't as wild as you think it is. It's actually pretty likely.
