I wondered how long it would take HR to pull the adds for interviews with the Mesa news. There are a fair amount of current CRJ pilots at Mesa. With SkyWest's "shortened" RJ class qualification for those already with CRJ experience there is no need to hire guys off the street, yet. Save some money and get the Mesa guys online faster than someone with no current CRJ experience. Also want to say that my heart goes out to you guys. I know its a scary time but keep your chin up and a positive attitude and you'll be alright. For those that do choose to come to SkyWest all I can say is that you'll really enjoy it. My best Regards

I'm not saying that they won't take the United, ASA guys firsrt, I'm just saying that WITH all the United, ASA AND the MESA folks there are plenty of interviews to do before they need to worry about bringing in non 121 people. Just my .02.

Unless you're on reserve. Reserve at Skywest and Line Holder at Skywest is like working at two different companies. The reserve policy section is currently being rewritten so we'll see what that brings. I'm expecting few, if any QOL improvements, probably going to see mostly clarifications to some very vague policies and loopholes. Oh, and if you ever need to use your (lack of) medical benifits that Skywest will offer in the future, you probably won't "really enjoy" it either.

Have you been on RSV at another carrier? Just wondering.

As a Brasilia FO that was hired in 08, I am a line holder (sometimes composite) but either way I would rather take the pay raise and go to the jet and be on reserve. Figuring it out, at the current rates between the two aircraft, on reserve would equal 95 hrs credit in the Brasilia. But thats just me

Highly doubt that was the reason. I heard 10 united 3 ASA and 3 poolies for the class of 16.
