OK. Thanks for the info all. I know when I worked for Skywest they prided themselves in not furloughing pilots in their history. Sounds like he has some explaining to do.

The MKE base shut down Dec 31st. Those pilots were displaced to other bases. Maybe thats what he meant.

I wish it were. He is definately out of work. Just not saying how or why. His wife said furlough but.........

I have found that wives don't usually know what they are talking about. I knew a guy that got his private at that Comair flight school. He wife said "he flies for Delta." I guess he probably told her that to try to impress her though. "Yeah, I flew for delta for about 6 months..."

I saw that SkyWest took the First Officer job opening off of the website. Is there anyway to update hours on your application? I logged in and it just says "application received." No big deal since I am not in the original pool. Just wanted to keep things updated.
