Yes. Ski's fit in almost every plane that the airlines use.

It will fit in the forward belly no problem. I had a ramper in AUS load his 8' + surf board in the belly when he was going on a trip. It took some skill but it worked. I'm sure your ski's are more manageable than the board.

It will fit just fine in the aft cargo. The forward bins are usually for planeside checked (valet) bags. Are you bringing your ski's through securtity? Have you done this before in uniform? I'm trying to figure out a way to non-rev with my snowboard without it getting lost after multiple bumps. Planeside checking it is the way to go.

Technically skiis are too big for carry-on, you may or may not be able to get them through security. A board is a little more realistic.

I think he is saying that MEM-SLC should not be an RJ route. Leave it to the forums to take a simple ski question and turn it into a scope argument

Ski's fit just fine. I have taken my 181cm ski's on a 900 a couple times.

The belly pits in the 700/900s were made for Skis. When I worked on the ramp, I would routinely load 20+ sets of skis in the belly of the 700s ORD-SLC.
