Fill out the app online, of course it will be competitive. You need 1500TT 500 multi and turbine experience.

The hiring is due to the attrition over the past few years of no hiring. But I will believe it when the first class is called

I have 2000 hours 1200 turbine and had an interview scheduled and then cancelled last year with the downturn. I recently reapplied but got an email saying thanks but they are going to pursue more qualified candidates. Kind of funny how I was plenty qualified last year with a lot less time. Just goes to show how much has changed this past year. Good luck to all and Happy Thanksgiving!

Guys,

Considering we're only hiring 20-30 people, I'm pretty sure they'll all have internal recs.

Meerkat 11-27-2009 08:05 AM

Well in this case they would change their requirements for

" Qualifications
.Internal Recommendation Only.
  • Minimum of a Commercial license with instrument and multi-engine rating – FAA.
  • Minimum of 1500 hours of total flight time with 500 hours in multi-engine aircraft.
  • First Class Medical Certificate issued by the FAA and updated annually for pilots under the age of 40: every 6 month for those aged 40 to 65.
  • Proficiency check in a simulator two times per year with recurrent ground school training.
  • Must be able to read, write, understand and fluently speak the English language.
  • Previous turbine experience.
  • Airline experience preferred.

In this case we should kill the thread............:D:D

Do yourself a favor and lose the dream for a while, find something else to do. You might feel a slight pressure, but it will be easier if you just close your eyse and wait for it to be over with.... don't fight it.
