the flying will be through DEN/ORD/IAD I believe, but not sure what combo of these will be a base, probably just one, I dunno yet. I believe the block hr increase is 10-15% so even though its 22-33 a/c I am not sure how hard these airplanes will be flying and what the staffing requirement for bases will be. Sure will be nice for people to leave EWR so I can get back to day trips and weekends off

This is excellent news. Like everyone else has stated, recalls and upgrades will be subject to staffing numbers and block hours; as the info comes out, I'm sure we'll know more.

I'm going to guess 100 recalls and 50 upgrades, bases in ORD and DEN. This is definitely a move in the right direction.

Congrats XJet, I'm glad to see a good company get it. I wish our company (AWAC) had got it, but I'm glad that flying is going to a company with solid contract. Congrats again!

Congrats xjet! Obviously I wish United would have been awarded that flying, then Pinnacle because i work here, but after that I couldn't think of a better group to get it. Hope it works out for you!

You know what, it's just good to see good news starting to pop up anywhere. So much doom & gloom lately, any good news is just a warm fuzzy feeling. Congrats XJet guys.

Interesting note from the XJT 10-Q filed today...

We anticipate that the definitive agreement with respect to the multiyear arrangement will include a grant to United of 2.7 million common stock warrants with an exercise price of $0.01 per share of common stock and that all related documents will be executed in the near future. Once executed, we will file a Current Report on Form 8-K with respect to the definitive agreement.

Yeah I saw that too, I think I'll hold off on commenting about this until I see how it all plays out. Interesting nonetheless.

I think the new flying is great and is a positive step for the profession but i hate seeing guys lose their jobs . I hate to be a johnny raincloud but this flying (its not mesa's) was done by Mesa and they will be laying off hundreds of guys. My thoughts and prayers go out to those guys and girls. It is a bittersweet victory for our company.

Pilot compensation, contractual QOL, and maintenance comparisons between Mesa and XJT are .... amazing that they are both grouped in the same category of lift providers.
