This just proves false, that not picking up OT will bring the furloughs back. pilots pick up OT regardless who's on furlough and finally MANAGEMENT decides to recall. Thanks for the money I EARNED on OT, I have money to blow on shoes and beer! Begging for money is alot easier these days than to actually go out and earn it!

Ask yourself how much sooner the pilots could be recalled had active pilots not picked it up....

Most lines have at least 14 days off and there are a bunch of 15-18 day off lines. Additionally, many trips finish early allowing for a turn to be added on. No, they could easily cover that flying done as OT. In fact, most of the flying is blocked and fairly little OT is available and there are plenty of lineholders available for JM or EX.
It sounds good in theory, that a bunch of tough pilots will show managment who really runs the show, but that is mostly the fantasy of relative youngsters and newbies with little or no knowledge of past history at Eagle.

Ask yourself how much sooner our 10 year F/Os could have UGed had CAs never picked up OT. Shouldn't we be giving OT-CAs grief, using your logic? If anyone deserves a break/bump, its the 10yr F/Os.

(sorry, haven't posted on here enough to figure out how to quote multiple posters.) But don't forget the part in our contract that requires management to keep Eagle properly staffed. They can't just go around JMing pilots all day. Even an increase in frequency of JMs and someone's going to do something.

This might be something to think about for the next contract. Defined staffing levels, and defined penalties once they go below that level.
