Default Regional pilots shown in Capitalism movie

Just saw this movie, there is a nice segment highlighting our plight (and all of working Americans) to the world, and I hope it helps keep us in the fight for good job standards !

I hope so, however I think it's somewhat an unrealistic expectation. How quickly did all of the hoopla regarding the Colgan crash fade away? Very quickly! People's memories are too short for anything like this. Unless TMZ airs it beside a "hot" story about Lindsay Lohan, nobody will really listen.

As pilots are we so desperate about our plight that we actually want Michael Moore speaking on our behalf???? Im not sure people take what they see in his films seriously, I think its more a ("well that could be what happened, wink, wink, nudge nudge conspiracy theory.....blah blah blah) scenario. Besides, isnt he just out to hear himself speak?? Our continuing to pressure our elected officials, and expresssing our opinions on change professionally is the way to see change.

2 things:

#1 Moore is a d-bag.

#2 We can hope and pray all day about legislation increasing our pay, but it won't happen anytime soon. Minimums, maybe. Perhaps some pay increase will trickle down from that, but that is years away.

No kidding! Look at how Americans act and what we look up to these days....it's no wonder we're falling way behind. If this cycle continues, the USA won't be the powerhouse it is now in the future.

Can you enumerate, point by point how you disagreed with Moore about pilot pay? Have you even seen the film? He interviewed pilots, gathered data and put it into the film. Who says he's speaking on our behalf? Is The WSJ or MSNBC speaking on our behalf when they do a story on pilot pay? There is nothing wrong with pilot pay being exposed in a documentary film, regardless of what you think of the filmmaker.

As far as I'm concerned, more power to him. I wasn't a fan of Bowling for Columbine. However, I loved Roger and Me, Fahrenheit 9-11 and this new one.

I saw this movie yesterday, and he hit our situation right on I think. And it was amazing to see how our situation is the same as many other industries. He also talked about how management has robbed its employees for short term gains and profits. Hmmm... seems very familiar.
