Friend stuck in ak on buddy pass, ideas?
So I sent a friend of mine to Anchorage to see his dad a week ago. Unfortunately, the loads have been terrible and he has been stuck 4 days longer than he planned to and the loads for the next few days look just as bad.
I work for Mesaba so there are a lot of things about the new travel privlages under Delta that I am not familiar with. Does anyone know of any way to get him back? I don't believe we can get a reduced fair confirmed ticket for buddies, can we?

That's really tough this time of year--and the weekends are fouled up with the cruise ship traffic.
It gets better on Tuesdays and Wednesdays--but consider purchasing a ticket to somewhere in the lower 48. ANC-SEA might not be too expensive.

We've been trying to go to whatever city in the lower 48 we can get him to, but no luck. As far as I know, we're limited to slc and msp with northwest/ delta. We're looking at 700+ for a confirmed ticket, so I hope it doesn't come to that.

Crazy thing is I've been up there more times than I can count and have only been bumped off my first choice of flights a couple of times. Always got on my second flight and never had to sit in the jumpseat.
