Default Changing Captain upgrade mins after downgrade

I WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT THAT I AM COMPLETELY FINE WITH ME GETTING MORE EXPERIENCE BEFORE UPGRADING! I SUGGEST THAT THE TROLLS GO BACK UNDER THEIR BRIDGE.

Anyway, when I upgraded, mins were 2000 hours. I had 1800 hours when I upgraded (we had that 2:1 setup, so my hours were worth 2300 hours). Company just reupped their minimums to 3500 hours again. My question is because I had already upgraded, do I have to meet these minimums again? (I'm only 200 hours short, i'll probably have 8000 hours before we ever upgrade again). Or am I good because I'm a downgraded captain

You already have your PIC type so with things grandfathered in perhaps you're ok. After doing the CA upgrade checkride you're a CA in my book just being paid to fly as an FO I doubt anyone working on those rules thought of these scenarios though.

I'm thinking 9E, but not 100% sure. Either way I don't know of any regionals upgrading- and when they do I see it being a senior bid..... unless you are AT 9E and this contract passes with the current RSV rules in the TA...

The "dirty 30" should not have been downgraded, now everywhere is short except ATL and many are left as junior FO's AFTER already coming to upgrade KNOWING they were going to be on RSV....

I believe he's referring to the one that uses the Waterski callsign.

New mins for Cpt. are 3500, 1000multi, 1000turbine and new FO mins are 1000tt, 200multi. I imagine you'd be grandfathered in since you already went through it, but like you said...we'll all have 10,000TT if (when) TSA ever upgrades again.

I'm part of the "dirty thirty" and scheduling has tried to JM me twice as a captain since being displaced to FO.

Not like it really matters since I'm sure he will have plenty of time to get his TT up I'd say that he WOULD NOT be grandfathered in. The way downgrades work in the waterski world is that once you are qualified as and FO again it is like YOU WERE NEVER A CAPT (hence the reason to submit a new standing bid for the left seat) so you would have to meet all of the mins again in order to upgrade. It has never been like this before where they have changed the mins to more hours, but I'd imagine that since you need 3500 (reducible to 3000) in order to submit a standing bid for the left seat that any standing bids in the system that do not meet that will be kicked out.
