Pinnacle's is 2017.
That will be a while until either of those get reductions in 50 seaters, unless they are exchanges for 900's (which they can't current due to scope) or they fail to meet performance goals. Look at how much hassle MESA has been for Delta to get rid of. Reduction will come from the wholly owns.

You heard it hear first folks. Sorry for the bad news.

Little hint fellas..There is a reason no 200's have gone to paint...
Wrong. There are already some 200s have been painted.
Go troll at your thread instead of lurking in here spreading false rumors.

FYI, don't think those DCI contracts with SkyWest is ironclad. DAL is not shy about finding loopholes or finding any excuse to break them.

If I had a Dollar everytime some anonymous poster who is not even a XJ pilot who chimes in to just to let others know how clever he is, I'd be a rich man indeed.

Yeah, I guess we'll see happens. Don't say I did not warn you about other DCI carrier contracts. Expect to see DAL DCI carriers down from 8 drastically.

Yes. Mesa is on the way out..eventually.. Mesaba-Comair..combined..Compass sold to RAH.

There is the reduction.

Looks like there will probably be about 270 pilots furloughed from Mesaba as a result of this nonsense. It didn't take Delta long to screw the Mesaba pilot group.
I thought the 110 furloughed were due to the 10 Saabs and the overstaffing situation that happened due to the anticipated over hiring for the 900 hundreds that we didn't get. I don't think the next number is in the 130 ballpark. I'd say half of that.

We at mainline believe that one or more DCI's will benefit from the USAir gate swap. All those cities in the NE can not handle mainline A/C loads. Comair is our high cost DCI as they have so many folks on the upper pay scales and their on-time performance has not been stellar to sway the least. Now they have been set-up for failure being hubbed at JFK. Come SOC in January things will get interesting for all of us.
We're not being set up for failure up in JFK. Delta wanted us up there so we can take all the coordinated cancellations that Delta can dish out. That was Freedom's downfall and why they're now operating out of CVG. They have a bad habbit of renigging on coordinated cancellations and then flying the aircraft empty and charging Delta for them as Four Hour Late Departures. Then after Delta cancelled their ERJ contract Freedom refused all coordinated cancellations and operated those flights against Delta's wishes. That got their CRJ-900 contract cacelled and they were sent packin to CVG. Delta doesn't have to deal with any contractual limitatations with Comair. Delta runs the show and we do whatever we're told to do.

If they sell of any of the wholly owned carriers at the moment or even merge them, they will have to renegotiate the ASA's they have. This is highly unlikely seeing that DAL wants more flexibility with its partners not less. If you ask me, I would think DAL is in the market to buy another wholly owned in the near future. They can park or add aircraft at will without the economics repercussions they have with other contract carriers. i.e. mesa.........
