I doubt it, I think skywest is looking to replace them. Havn't you heard the "Epic Q-400 Rumor" that has been floating around?

Is that the way Delta works, or the way ALPA doesn't?

I know they are looking to replace them but like skywest is whatever they can do to make money why get rid of them. Already a few were sold and they wished they had them back to fly at risk on the united side.

The "Q" rumor is just all over the place, who knows if it will ever come anytime soon... The new one is the BRO heading to Denver this winter... Just would be interesting to see someone coming in and flying to TVF or DVL, BJI, etc. how could XJ justify a CRJ200 on those? or are they just going to drop those routes

I'm thinking those routes will cease to exist by the time this is over and done with. It would be a royal kick below the belt to XJ if Delta got rid of the Saabs JUST to bring over a few EMB120s from SLC to cover the old Saab routes. I definitely wouldn't put it past Delta to do that.

Delta loves them some Skywest these days!

Yeah the bro going to den has been floating around there. My friend at X-jet said that United was going to award several airlines flying that used to belong to mesa. He said xjet was awarded something but it couldn't be announced yet because united has to work out the rest of the deals with the other airlines. I don't know if it is true but it does sound plausable. Maybe the Q is part of that, who knows.

It doesn't seem that way. Skywest has to beg delta to let them fly anything they can get their hands on. Yes, we aren't has supressed as lets say Comair or Asa but we aren't the golden child anymore. PNCL seems to be delta's special friend now, next year it could be Comair again.

I also wonder, doesn't XJ have like 15 crj 200s that Delta owns that can be taken away at any time or something like that? Do you think those 200s have a long term future with XJ?

I wouldn't be shocked if Delta tried to Merge XJ and Comair, seems like they are taking those steps now.

You guys must be REALLY good at begging. Send some of those beggers our way...to XJ. At least you aren't furloughing at an amazing pace like Mesaba and Comair.

I don't think PNCL is a special friend. They haven't been touched, just like you guys. I would say Compass is the new special friend. PNCL is just chillin like they usualy do. Nothing new, nothing old with them.

Yes, XJ has 16 RJ200s that came over from PNCL. We also have 2 loaners from Comair. They can be taken and given in the mighty DCI shuffle just like the Saabs, and the 900s.

Merger? Maybe. I hope not. That would be the biggest mess! Could you imagine??

Things are not looking good for Mesaba. I little birdy told me that Mesaba will end up just like Compass flying 36 CRJ900's. 50 Capacity will be GREATLY reduced starting first quarter 2010. Except more Comair and Mesaba 200's to get cut.

Delta should really be looking at the "next-gen" ATR 42/72-600s for their route structure. Substantially lower acquisition & operating costs than an RJ on a sub-300nm segment with substantially better performance & revenue potential than an older Saab.
