Who would sell it back? that is an odd benefit.

You can't leave with sick time, cash it out while ya can I guess. I make sure to keep a month's worth- beyond that I don't ever worry about being sick. If I am "unable" to work I just call.

I though that was the norm. I know many that kept just enough then it was sick at a time vacation. Just baffled on the selling back aspect.

4.5 hours of your own sick pay isnt nearly worth 4 days off and getting paid for it sick or not. If I'm sick, I'm sick. 1,2,3,4 days in a row, whatever it may be, I'm not coming to work. The time off plus getting paid for it is more valuable than a measly 4.5 hours anyday.

Speaking of sick calls, what happend to their "wellness program" and good food in all the crew rooms? Vanished like a fart in the wind.

i would just use it rather then sell it back. if you sell it, it is considered future earnings which is taxed like a bonus and you don't get as much money as if you would have just called in sick....I could be wrong but that is what I have noticed and been told at previous jobs
