Maybe out of IAH, but the Northeast is going to see a major USA reduction.

Well thanks for the all the updates. This all came as a bit of a shock to me ... then again I'm based in IAD and we don't hear anything here pertaining to the company.

As for 9L not flying for US Airways anymore, I really doubt that. We have EAS routes that go to BOS so either they will continue to operate those as US Airways express, or, they will continue to operate that independently. I'm sure that the extra Saabs from the LGA closure will find a home in IAD, IAH, or BOS flying. That is just my educated guess.
That sounds about right for the # of saabs we have there ... give or take one or two. We don't have a real big operation out of there, and without the summer island flying, it's barely anything at all. Hopefully we can find a place to use those Saabs. I'd hate to see us loose any of them.

"In Manchester, US Airways contracts with Colgan Air to operate its express flights.

Joe Williams, director of public relations for for Colgan Air, said the Manchester flights are profitable as far as he knows.

"I have checked and, no, those are strong routes and we are committed to those markets and plan to fly them," Williams said yesterday"

"But US Airways Express service to Hyannis, Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard will not be affected, said Joe Williams, a spokesman for Pinnacle Airlines, the parent company of Colgan Air, which operates the daily Cape and Islands flights to and from LaGuardia.

"I checked with our scheduling group and their response was, 'No, we're not giving anything up on those routes,'" Williams said yesterday. "Those are strong routes for us.""

Make what you will, but sounds like PNCL doesn't think too highly of US Airways' decision. Delta codeshare for CJC? Probably not.

This is a very typical Pinnacle response to news like this... even though Us Airways said they are going away Pinnacle says they will stay, I wouldnt read to much into that.
And I would highly doubt a code share with Delta, they dont want props. LGA-MHT could be run with an RJ... I bet this will be one of the new Delta cities out of LGA. Along with BUF,ROC,SYR,BTV,PWM and points south of LGA also.
Just a guess

It's Joe Williams' job to make it seem like Colgan is invincible and doing everything right, so I wouldn't put too much faith in what he said. Keep in mind this is the same guy that has defended our scheduling practices saying that there is no cause for fatigue in our schedules...

That's all well and good, but what if LCC or Delta don't want or need Colgan to fly for them in LGA?
