The website needs to be updated. However, I do like the form letter, and plan to personalize it and send it. Unfortunately I've sent this same letter before and got no response, but I'll keep trying.

I agree, and that letter is good. I plan on sending it as well.

Up to date I have probably sent about 10 to 12 letters to my congressman, representatives, the white house, and other state representatives that have a seat on the subcommittee. I have probably received about 5 or 6 responses, some within a few weeks and some 2 months later.

The white house was a very standardized response. The other's, however, seemed to be very personalized and talked about the topics in pretty good detail. I was surprised to say the least.

The more letters our representatives receive, the more likely we will have things change for the better.

I was able to send it to my senators, but the House's contact website would not work. How are we supposed to contact these people if they don't have working email? How frustrating!

All I wanted to say is awesome site!! I agree 100% with their goals... let's hope someone who matters is listening. I've already written a couple letters with so-so responses. If we all do it, it's gotta make a difference eventually I would think.

When I sent my letters, I emailed it as well as sent a hard copy to the office, except in these cases:

No email to the White House.

No email to some of the representatives out of state. (When sending an email they requested an address and additional contact info. The system concluded that you were out of state and refused to send the email.)
