Hey this is not really part of the subject but has to do with AE.
I found this comment on the Gouge for AE and caught my attention since I always heard that if you ever failed a check-ride you have to be honest, talk positively about it, say what you learned and you'll do just fine. But now somebody posted this, is it any true?
"If you've ever failed a check-ride, don't waste your time with this airline. You'll walk into Dallas, they'll ask everyone in the room if they've failed a check-ride, and if so, they'll tell you to get out. (06/23/10)"

I busted my commercial SEL ride 5 years ago and got hired.
This is from an AA safety intern: "if you've busted 2 or more, you're not getting the job".
This is from someone who actually conducts hiring interview:
question asked "what is it you guys are actually looking for?"
answered by hiring guy: "do you get along with all of your classmates?...there you go"
1 bust, and a solid, trainable, friendly candidate...you're fine
1 bust and something otherwise glaring with ATTENTION TO DETAIL, paperwork, instructions, personality...
not so fine

I have no busted checkrides ever...
Just an accident with absolutely no violation, investigation etc... 20 years ago.
accident = no job,,, regardless
The worst part as I said, HR wasn't sharp enough to read the paperwork before inviting me.
