What I really don't get is why the company didn't offer extended COMA's, LOA's, retirement packages, etc. At least with the last round, they were nice enough to pretend to care about the pilot group.

Thanks Brad Holt!

Also, I just talked to a buddy at SkyWest, and he was denied a 12 month personal LOA recently. I just don't get it... ASA furloughs, but SkyWest denies LOA's...?

That brings up another point, good to see we are on round two and SkyWest has not furloughed yet.

I've come to accept the fact that no Skywest pilot will be furloughed as long as there are ASA pilots to furlough. They'll simply transfer the flying we have to themselves to avoid furloughing on their side. I've got friends at Skywest so I'm not ****ed at anyone there and I hope none of them get furloughed but it does suck from our perspective when we are taking the brunt of everything bad. We really are the red headed step child.

On a seperate note I guess they never found flying for those 20 CRJ-200s.

Nope that honor seems solidly secure at Comair

Not to sound like a jerk but, shocking
It would have been great for you but for anyone to expect to find new places to fly any 50 seat jets is well.... I probably have a better chance being invited to the grotto at Hef's place.
Filler Filler....

Correct me if I am wrong, but we didn't offer health benefits with our LOA's like SKW is now, did we? That might be one reason why less people accepted them. ASA is and will continue to be the perennial loser in the current relationship we have with the parent company and DAL. I agree to at least offer these leaves to make it seem like the company cares. These furloughs could have been mitigated by additional leave packages on par with what skw is putting out. Cant argue with facts and ASA has now managed to furlough 130+ back to Nov 07, lose airframes, lose most and soon to be all ground handling stations, facing possible maintenance consolidation and implemented North Korea style censorship on OurASA. The st george dream is turning into a nightmare for those affected

Oh I'm pretty sure the honeymoon is over with. Well, at least for the junior portion of the pilot group. Watching their aviation future melt away at the hands of our management and Delta. But, we're not alone in this mess - every DCI company is getting slapped around like a little girl.

Good luck to the rest of the boys / girls hitting the street. This career is one hell of a fun ride. 40+ more years of this nonsense, yeah - no thanks.

I'd say it's more like we are getting clubbed like baby seals
