Default You stay classy San Diego.

I've been a long time lurker and visit this site often to get gouge on the industry. Until very recently I was impressed with the maturity of all who frequent this site and their respect for each other and their respective unique views and thoughts. There's no doubt that people are suffering terribly as a result of the changes occurring daily in aviation as well as every other industry man has built. I just don't see the point in demeaning ourselves with all the internet trash talking and disrespect for one another. As a reluctant poster and avid information gatherer, I hope this trend can be reversed. There's already an aviation website dedicted to trash talking blow-hards.

Great, I agree, but what's the reference to San Diego about?

I agree. I would suggest that the best thing APCer's can do to help is use the report post function (red triangle thingy in the lower left part of the screen) to report TOS violations. This will help identify those who can't follow the rules that make this a better place for all.

People in Somalia are suffering terribly. Pilots, hmm.....in the grand scheme of things are being inconvenienced. If you've got food in the fridge and a roof over your head, things aren't that bad. No trash talk, just adding some much needed perspective.

Naaaa, we're Americans. The old line our parents used on us when we were kids "there are starving kids in africa that would love the food you are not eating" does not apply anymore. We (American pilots) dont really care about much besides ourselves.
