I believe the REAL question is.......can the F.O. log that time as P.I.C. ??? as he was the only pilot "in command" during that particular segment

I guess I wasnt clear, I meant in general the way it normally works is the captain has more experience but they are both are well trained and capable, I wasnt trying to be real deep...and I realize there are exceptions to every rule...

i log PIC everytime the CA goes back to take a whiz. A deuce is worth .2

Logging .1 at a time baby!!

ugh it just makes me wince every time a captain uses the very sink-free lav cuz i know where those hands will touch next... the cockpit that we share! i might as well just wipe his toosh for him with my own hand.

Also reminds me of the old saying for logging instrument time. "If you see it, log it. If you're in it, double it."

Fox News is not any better than CNN. I can’t believe the ignorance of the media. I was watching Fox News this morning; the two reporters where talking about weather the passenger should have been informed that one of the pilots is dead. One of the reporters said that they should let the passengers know just in case they need to make a final phone call before they die if the plane crashed. It sounded like one of the wings had separated from the aircraft and it was plunging towards the Atlantic.
