Yep, I agree with ya... But look at what happened to the last group of people who stood up for themselves like that. Can you say "Gojets"? I hope your mgmt is less scum-baggy than ours was...

Yes, "mine vs. yours" is immature, and perhaps defending your own comments or company against hateful remarks can perpetuate the immaturity, I believe. Trashing one airline because of their success, when crews don't make co policy is a shame. So many on here are immature and can't act like grown ups and would rather attack others and be mean-spirited. Can people just "lighten up" a tad?
I agree and well played.

Good Day.

To date “Jerry and Friends” have proven to be very trustworthy. Also keep in mind that if SKW Mgmnt wanted something (Q’s rates at EMB +5% or RJ pay cuts) they could always just do it, after all we are non-union.

To date SKW has always paid a “fair” wage. Yes not an industry leading but total compensation wise it is very competitive. And yes we didn't have to fight for it; those at Comair, ASA, XJT, Mesaba, etc did the work for us many years ago. I wish more would realize that without the support of “others” there would be no “ours.”

Hold on. I want to know where all of these Q-flying rumors are coming from before I start thinking about the pay. Why have I never, ever heard of this at Skywest in the entire time I have been here? This board is the only place I have heard it and I try to keep up with everything going on at the company. I would love to think about the pay and everything else that goes along with getting an entire new fleet of planes, but I just don't buy it without a source. Someone please tell me where this info really came from.

Agreed. I keep pretty close tabs and haven't heard a whisper of this from any reputable source(i.e. the pilots at OO) - Sounds like a guy heard it from his aunt whose husband has a mistress who has an uncle that is a mechanic at OO that is bored. (Heard of the game telephone?)

One of the most profitable airlines in the business right now...don't think they're going to fail.

Heard it straight from KB's mouth but as I told him and DS; I'll believe it when I'm in transition class. Also AE's been keeping up with the training side of things, both AE and GB are expecting to become sim instructors "if" it comes to fruition. Next time you see AE, just ask.

Take it for what it's worth and don't hold your breath.

I am with you Duck, I've canceled once that I did not get paid for and the only other time it turned into maintenance fairy and I made more anyway.

I've been here over 2 years and deadheaded maybe half dozen times, the US Air system is so over blocked if I've lost an hour total I'd be surprised. All this while I was sleeping.

There are things like:. When closing a base they open vacancies in other bases instead of allowing a senior to bidder choose where they want to go. We need duty rigs. We need industry comparable pay rates. Hell the whole industry NEEDS industry comparable pay rates!

What we have is scope within our company, this was the big item fought for in 2003. This is the nightmare TSA is fighting. What we also have is no junior assignment, i can answer my phone day or night and determine if I want to fly extra. Not letting them tell me they are taking my day off away.

Bryan Bedfords job is too make money for the company, his job is too keep as many people employed as he can. Its not to give out cash to those furloughed, that is called unemployment. I feel bad for my brothers who are furloughed but times are tough, they could/would be facing the same situation had they choose another carrier to work for. At the very least through Bedfords efforts they may be able to come back to work sooner Or at all!

Or this could all go terribly wrong and we are all out of a job. Frankly the guy has a pretty good track record and I'd rather see him being aggressive about business in these times. He hasn't made stupid investments in the past, I don't think he's going to start know. There is an agenda and it will not make most of you happy. He doesn't care what you think and frankly I don't want him too. He is in a different business, his is to make money for a company, ours is too fly airplanes for a company.
