Would those be the same Feds that were former TSA mechanics that are now in trouble for overlooking pencil whipped AD's resulting in TSA flying AMR passengers in AC that were technically unairworthy....

If its true, then the people that manage TSA and work for them are a bunch of idiots. If I where flying for them and knew they made me fly a plane that was unairworthy I would send in my resignation right then and there. Did people not learn anything from the Alaska Airlines MD-80 crash?

You better watch out on who you're calling an idiot mister!! There are a lot of pilots that fly for TSA that are excellent pilots, and would not put their certificates on the line just to please good old Hulas.

Now I'm not sure when it comes to AD's to see if the AD's have been complied with or not. They don't carry the records in the damn airplane, and we don't have time to check if those AD's have been checked. Oh ya, you probably don't have any 121 experience; 20 minute quick turn, writing up an MEL, dealing with passengers, have a gate agent griping at you to see if you are ready to board...... Before you call someone an idiot BUDDY make sure you put yourself in their shoes instead of farting around the skies in your DA-20

We know that maintenance can screw up so that's why we do that walk around to see if there are any loose ends floating around. Also, we know that they can mess up on paperwork. You know how many times I've seen an improperly MEL'D item written in the Log Can? We always double check the books to make sure that the item is legally written correctly so we can save our butts.

I guess all the pilots at Southwest and American MD-80 drivers should resign right now too. Remember those aircraft getting grounded for missed inspections?

For somebody that has no experience in this industry you sure do seem to have all the answers.

Another good point is if you have the balls to say something, you better have the BALLS to back it up.

I am not surprised one bit...

I have friends that work at Horizon that say the same thing about the Q400. Brand new and broke from the factory because Bombardier does not believe in QC for that program.
