JFK-PHL I hold the record from gate to gate in 25 minutes

You must have been going in during a special time of day... between the "PHILLY Factor" and JFK notorious waits thats a pretty quick turn

BPT-IAH. After takeoff, I was given a heading to intercept the 26L Localizer.

Who cares where they fly, they're contract airplanes. The point is they shouldn't replace mainline routes from hub to hub, that's what really matters.

Ayep hub-to-hub is mainline territory. RAH running NY-DC and ORDLGA is unacceptable. And I'm not quite sure how I feel about reliever-hub flying (HPNORD for example)...Jury is still out on that one.

I know people always give us XJT guys grief for it (as if it's OUR choice) but I am doing IAH-YYZ tommorow. Seems like that should be a mainline route just based on the distance and the fact that its the 4th largest US city and largest Canadian city. But Air Canada flies the route (and YUL-IAH, YYC-IAH) with Jazz CRJ-700s and the occasional E170 so there must not be as much demand there as you'd think.

Doesn't UAL have some sort of clause that prevents anyone else from doing hub to hub flying? Do any of the other majors? I know US Air doesn't.
