PSA Reserve Rules
If you are furloughed and got a recall letter you just might want to stay where you are. PSA Management is going to new lows to ensure reserve pilots get screwed every hour of every day. Bypass as long as you can because after a year of reserve you will be quiting anyway.
In a recent internal audit, it was determined that trip trades in the past were approved in which a reserve pilot modified his schedule by trading days off with himself. This clearly does not comply with section 25, F, 2 c of the current working agreement. Because of this, crew scheduling will stop this practice immediately. Reserve days can only be traded with the reserve days of other pilots. Reserve day trades must also comply with all other requirements of the working agreement and regulatory restrictions.

Your right not being able to trade my days off would be way worse than sitting at home trying for months to gain employment. It will be all good though when I get back and can pick up all that open time.

Am I missing something? What does it matter? They dont approve it if it puts them on min coverage or below. Your still working the same amount and getting paid the same amount. Haha, that place cracks me up. I gladly passed up recall.

There is more to this than just Open Time. If you have an important event that you need off, you just got screwed.
This basically stops people (Reserves) from moving days around to get a schedule that is somewhat livable. Sure it also stops people from picking up Open Time but that was last weeks email about no more 6 day stretches.
People not picking up open time isn't going to bring people back. Only more flying is....that is why we have 10 coming home. Nothing to do with open time. With PSA building schedules with 90-98hrs of flying i really don't see a problem with a reservist getting 72 plus 6 for open time. That's still 20 less than some people are getting.

This sucks...
That's ridiculous i don't understand why we can't rearrange our schedule. They had to approve it first anyways so it's not like it would hurt them. I'm confused as to why they think this is a problem?
