I'm sure he's real worried about what his fellow pilots think. This so called "pride" you speak of was gone a long time ago. If he or she is happy at Mesa, Gojets or whatever other airline foks like yourself consider sub-par than more the power to them, 25,000 a year is 25,000 a year no matter how you spell it, they can hitch a ride with me anytime.

Amen, I put in 4 years at piedmont back when mesa was philly based and we never turned anyone down, and you guys always got me home. It must have changed since I left because when I was there it was up to the captain and not the FO who got to ride.

Yeah most Captains at Piedmont don't like GoJet or Mesa. Although there are the few older captains that don't really care. Glad you all got home without a problem though. Commuting definitely sucks.
