Default MESA - JO Lost Control? March SEC filings?

This is not intended as a Mesa bash thread (rather than saying Mesa sucks, I think it's more courteous to most of the people at Mesa to limiting sucking to JO - e.g. "JO is an egg-sucking jackal" ) - just curious if any Mesa folks have seen any changes in behavior of Mesa's management. It looks like from SEC filings this month, that the bondholders who got stock in Feb now control the company. The following filed (with % of shares owned):

Lampe, Conway & Co., LLC – 19%
Deutsche Bank – 9.6%
Goldman Sachs – 10%
BNP Paribas Arbitrage – 5%

Donald Smith & Co. owned about 9% of the company at year-end '08 - I didn't see any filing disclosing a drop below the threshold requirement of 5%, so presumably they still own at least 5%.

It looks like JO now has a bunch of institutional owner-bosses. Has anyone noticed any changes in his or management's behavior?

They can only exercise control if they get together and coordinate such an action. Institutional investors may have better things to do with their time.

Default believe it or not..

Word on street is that things are getting better @ Mesa with Paul Foley running the show. JO and Lotz are not as involved in the day-to-day business as they used to.

Just picked up some Mesa stock for Monday's opening bell. I think/hope there will be a bump in the next month or so.

This just means that they can elect new board members, if they decide to. They very well may not decide to, though.

Talk to a Mesaba or former Big Sky pilots and they will tell you Paul Foley is an idiot and just as bad as JO.
